« ... One is carried away by the physical and spiritual features of Edith Canat de Chizy's music. Yell (1985) is filled with orchestral distortions and multiplies depths of field. In this piece, the selective affinities of the various stands are spatialised. Canciones (1992) is a 12-voice piece in which ecstasy prevails, spreading like a radiation of the soul. Listening to the violin concerto Exultet (1995), one is won by a vibratile fever, a joyful energy, a leaping rapture; the voice sounds like an iridescence of the orchestra, a kind of will-o'- the-wisp... »
